(Հայոց) 720 (=1271) թվին, Աստծու կամքով, ես` Հովհաննես, որդի Իվանեի՝ առաջնորդ Գանձասարի Սուրբ ուխտի, Խաչենի տեր Աթաբեկի հրամանով, իմ արդար միջոցներով գնեցի Վարդանաթաղը, չորս եզ և այլ ընծաներ տվեցի Սուրբ Կաթողիկեիս։ Միաբաններն (ինձ) բոլոր եկեղեցիներում (խորաններում) պատարագ տվեցին Հովհաննի և Հակոբի տոնին: Ով խափանի, (թող) դատվի Աստծուց։
In the Armenian year 720 (1271), by the will of God, I, Hovhannes, son of Ivane, abbot of the Holy Vow of Gandzasar, by the command of Atabek, lord of Khachen, with my own lawful means purchased Vardanatagh, and gave four oxen and other offerings to my Holy Katoghike. The brethren performed the liturgy for me in all churches (sanctuaries) on the feast day of Hovhannes and Hakob. Whoever violates this, let him be judged by God.
