This bridge is dedicated to the memory of Baghtasar, son of Baron Ekan, and his spouse Pheravi. In the Armenian year 1212 (=1763). Whoever reads this, let him say once: “May God have mercy.”
Արձանագրությունն ամփոփված է կամրջի ձախակողմյան խելին ագուցված սրբատաշ մեծ ու փոքր զույգ քարերին (1,30 x 0,44 մ): Փոքր քարն ունի նաև խաչաքանդակ, որի տակ շարունակվում են արձանագրության վերջին երկու տողերը, իսկ առաջին՝ մեծ քարն ի սկզբանե նախատեսված է եղել վիմագիրը կազմելու համար: Գրիչն այն նախապես տողագծել է՝ արձանագրության համաչափությունը պահպանելու համար:
The inscription occupies two finely dressed stones, one large and one small (1.30 × 0.44 m), built into the left pier of the bridge. The smaller block is adorned with a cross-relief and carries the final two lines of the text beneath it. The larger block was evidently intended to be the main inscribed surface. The stonecutter first ruled horizontal guidelines to ensure the proportional arrangement and regularity of the inscription.
