Խաչքարը 2000 թ. ուսումնասիրել և արձանագրությունը վերծանել է պատմաբան-աղբյուրագետ Ալեքսան Հակոբյանը, որի նկարագրության համաձայն՝ կոթողը նախկինում որմնափակ խաչքարի մաս է կազմել: Այն բավականին մեծադիր է՝ 2,35 x 1,05 x 0,35 մ, որի ստորին երկու անկյունները վնասված են. դրա հետևանքով արձանագրության վերջին մասը կորսվել է: Այդ հատվածում Ալ. In 2000, the khachkar was examined and its inscription deciphered by the historian and source scholar Aleksan Hakobyan. According to his description, the monument originally formed part of a khachkar incorporated into a masonry wall. It is of considerable size, measuring 2.35 × 1.05 × 0.35 m. The two lower corners have been damaged, resulting in the loss of the final part of the inscription. In this damaged section, A. Hakobyan identified the letter Č (Չ), interpreting it as the hundreds digit of the date. In our assessment, however, the letter Z (Զ) is clearly discernible, which most likely served as the preposition introducing the following word. The monument is distinguished by its rich sculptural ornamentation and represents a distinctive example of the artistic production of its period.
